Why Afterglow exists
I never planned to build a career platform.
I built Afterglow to help my husband navigate a layoff from Microsoft.
Between the ghost jobs, getting ghosted, applications disappearing into applicant tracking systems, AI reshaping roles, and job titles changing, it was hard to know what to do or where to focus.
I was heartbroken for him, and for the thousands of qualified people in my LinkedIn feed that feel invisible and overlooked by these broken systems. I started researching to try and find answers. One question led to another, and that research became Afterglow.
The core career strategy will always be free because everyone needs a better place to start their job search. Pro helps fund the ongoing research behind it.
