Why is Afterglow free?
Courtney White built Afterglow after her husband was laid off from Microsoft. The core career strategy stays free so more people can start with clarity instead of endless scrolling. Optional Pro features help fund continued research and development.
What happens to my résumé?
Your résumé is used only to personalize your career strategy. We never sell your personal information or share your résumé with employers. You can delete your account and data anytime from Account & settings.
Is the free plan actually useful?
Yes. Free includes a complete career direction: sweet spot, titles, searches, companies, four curated insights, and three Worth It? analyses per month.
What does Pro add?
Pro adds the full insights pack, Career insights+ (hiring signals, skills trends, and unexpected roles), Guided search+ (structured daily job search with outreach support), up to five career profiles, 100 Worth It? analyses per month, and networking guidance inside Worth It?.
What is Guided search+?
It is structured job-search software in Afterglow: a personalized plan, a scored employer list, LinkedIn message templates, and a daily focus list. It organizes your search the way a career playbook would, without requiring a separate coach or spreadsheet.
Does Afterglow find live jobs?
Afterglow is not a job board. It helps you decide what to search, where to look, and which jobs deserve your time.
Does Afterglow use generative AI?
Afterglow's strategy and Worth It? experience use curated research and software matching. Your resume is not sent to OpenAI or another generative AI provider.
