These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to Afterglow's website and services operated by Afterglow ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. The service

Afterglow provides career direction tools, research-based recommendations, and optional paid Pro features (Career insights+, Guided search+, and expanded Worth it? limits). Outputs are informational and do not guarantee employment, interviews, or offers. You are responsible for verifying job listings, employers, and application requirements.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You may not misuse the service, scrape it at scale, reverse engineer paid features, or share accounts in ways that circumvent plan limits.

3. Subscriptions & billing

Afterglow Pro is billed through Stripe and is currently available only to customers residing in the United States with a U.S. billing address. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled in the billing portal or as Stripe provides. Founding pricing applies to subscribers who join before our first public price increase and remains in effect while the subscription stays active. Refunds are handled consistent with Stripe and applicable law; contact support for billing disputes.

4. Free & paid features

Free and paid tiers may change over time. We will not remove core free access promised to Early Access beta participants for the experience they received at join time. New paid capabilities may be added to Pro plans.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of resumes and content you upload. You grant us a limited license to process that content to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Communications

By creating an account, you agree we may send transactional emails (account, billing, security) and, if you have not opted out, product updates and marketing about Afterglow. You can turn those off in Account & settings. Account and billing email stays on.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS." WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF CAREER RECOMMENDATIONS OR THIRD-PARTY JOB LISTINGS.
